On Monday, 22nd January 2018, we will be celebrating Shikshapatri Jayanti at our Shree Swaminarayan Temple (Mandir) Perth.
The Shikshapatri is a sacred book of ethics consisting of two hundred and twelve verses, written in Sanskrit by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan in Vadtal on February 11, 1826. The Shikshapatri is a key scripture to all followers of Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday and is considered the basis of the sect, providing detailed instructions on how to live a spiritually uplifting life.
Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan instructed Nityanand Swami to translate Shikshapatri from Sanskrit into Gujarati. It has since been translated numerous times into other languages.
Please join us to celebrate this occasion. All devotees who would like Ghanshyam Maharaj to bless their personal Shikshapatri during the poojan are requested to bring on the day their Shikshapatri.
